Nervous System Coach & Herbalist

We experience the world through our nervous system. It’s the part of us that remembers what feels good, what feels hard, what feels safe, and what feels unsafe. Anxiety is a natural part of being human. When the nervous system activates, it’s responding to a perceived threat, even when there’s no actual danger in the moment.

Over time, extended exposure to stress or trauma can cause the nervous system to get stuck. Sometimes it stays in hyperarousal (anxiety, panic, catastrophic thinking). Other times it drops into hypoarousal (depression, lethargy, lack of motivation). This is often described as living outside of your “window of tolerance.” The nervous system doesn’t know the difference between something happening right now and something that feels like a past experience that wasn’t safe.

The good news is: healing is possible. When we build a trusting relationship with our nervous system, we begin to move through the world with more empowerment, connection, and ease. We re-wire the nervous system to return to a healthy baseline, so we no longer live in “always on” or “completely shut down.”

This is where I come in. As a nervous system and trauma coach and herbalist, I guide you in creating flexibility and resilience within your nervous system. I recognize how the oppressive system that are in place impact our nervous systems every day. The extent to which it impacts you, depends on the kind f body you live in and what intersections you sit at. A healthy nervous system knows how to respond appropriately to life’s challengesand how to return to safety (or safe enough) when the moment passes.

My training includes: Certified Holistic Health Coach (IIN), 60-hour Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy (The Embody Lab), Certified Herbalist, Certified EFT/Tapping Practitioner, Certified Trauma Tapping Practitioner, Certified Somatic Movement Practitioner, and a lifelong practice of meditation and mindfulness.

A life where you feel safe and connected in your body is possible. When you learn to create safety within yourself, you know you are always safe with you. I’m living proof of that.

The saying “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” is only half true. The full truth is: what doesn’t kill you—and is integrated—makes you stronger.
