Nervous System Coach & Herbalist
We experience the world through our nervous system. It remembers what feels good, what doesn’t feel good, what feels safe and unsafe. Anxiety is a normal part of the human experience. When the nervous system becomes activated, it means there is a perceived threat of danger near (even if there is no actual threat). When we experience extended exposure to stressors (trauma), the nervous system can get stuck in hyper (anxiety, panic, catastrophe, etc) or hypo (depression, lethargy and lack of “motivation.”). This is called being outside your “window of tolerance.” It doesn’t understand the different between something happening in real time or something that feels similar to a past experience that was unsafe. When we heal and create a trusting relationship with our nervous system, we learn how to navigate through the world in an empowered and embodied way. We rewrite the nervous system to function from a healthy baseline so we no longer get stuck in “on” or off.”
This is where I come in. As a nervous system and trauma coach and herbalist; I guide you through and give you the tools needed to help create flexibility within your nervous system. A healthy nervous system responds appropriately to life’s events and always finds its way back to its baseline (safety or safe enough). My credentials include certified holistic health coach (IIN), 60-hour Integrative Somatic Trauma Therapy certificate (The Embody Lab), certified herbalist, certified EFT (tapping) practitioner, certified trauma tapping practitioner, certified somatic movement practitioner, and a lifetime of experience with meditation and mindfulness.
A life where you feel connected and safe in your body is possible. When you learn how to create safety within yourself, you know that you are always safe with you! I am a true testament to that. The famous quote “what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger” is incomplete. It should be “what doesn’t kill you and is integrated makes you stronger.” If this speaks to you, schedule a discovery call and let’s get started!
